Rob earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law in 2006 graduating ‘with distinction’ honours. He became a member of the Law Society of Alberta in 2007.
After working in the litigation group of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP’s Calgary office, Rob was elected as MLA for Airdrie-Chestermere in 2008, and MLA for Airdrie in 2012. During his time as MLA, Rob served as Alberta’s Assistant Solicitor General, Chair of Alberta’s Public Accounts Committee, House Leader for Alberta’s Official Opposition and a member of the provincial Treasury Board.
In 2015, Rob joined Airdrie’s longest established law firm, Warnock Rathgeber & Company.
Rob is married with 4 boys and spends most of his down time with his family hiking, camping, skiing and trail running in the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Rob is also a world travel junkie and enjoys playing hockey, football and running marathons…mostly so he can continue to eat his favorite greasy foods without profound and ongoing feelings of guilt!
